Grab your baskets and get ready to have an egg-stra special Easter with these fun events in Southern Wake. 

Holly Springs

Spring Fling 

March 25 | 10 a.m.- noon | Ting Stadium

This free event includes a morning of games, activities, free inflatables, bunny meet and greets, and a huge egg hunt. For children ages 8 and younger, the egg hunt will begin promptly at noon on Dick Sears Field. This annual event also includes a community yard sale starting at 8 a.m. in the parking lot of Ting Park. For more information, click here!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

April 1 | 10 a.m. | Fleming Loop Park

Don’t miss the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Fleming Loop Park! The Easter Bunny will be onsite to help kick off the annual egg hunt with Town Mayor Blake Massengill, so don’t forget your baskets and cameras! Be on the lookout for the golden eggs (two in each age group) to win a special prize.

Downtown Candy Hop

April 1 | 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. | Downtown Fuquay-Varina

Scheduled immediately after the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Downtown Candy Hop is the perfect opportunity to fill up your baskets with treats from participating merchants! Learn more about the Candy Hop here.

Easter Egg-cellent Park Adventure

March 24-April 6

Starting March 24, ten large wooden eggs will be hidden in ten of the town’s parks and facilities: Mineral Spring Park, South Park, Falcon Park, FV Arts Center, Honeycutt Rd Park, Carroll Howard Johnson Environmental Park, James A. Campbell Park, Library Park, Fleming Loop Park, and Hilltop Needmore Town Park & Preserve. Each egg has a unique pattern and number designed by the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center. Apex 

Ultimutt Dog Egg Hunt 

March 28 | 6 & 6:45 p.m. | Apex Nature Park (2600 Evans Road)  

 

Egg hunts are not just for children anymore! Bring your furry friends and a basket to hunt for treat-filled eggs together and get a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. The first UltiMutt Dog Egg Hunt is being offered for all Town of Apex Annual Dog Park Pass holders and their fur babies. Learn more about getting a dog park pass here. For safety, all dogs must remain on a leash throughout the hunt. Advance registration required.  

Egg-streme Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt 

March 28 | 8:15 p.m. | Apex Nature Park (2600 Evans Road)  

Don’t miss this free event for teens, ages 10-13! Grab your flashlight and search for candy-filled eggs. The hunt will start precisely at 8:15 p.m., so please arrive at 8 p.m. Dress for the weather and bring a flashlight. Participants will gather at the large shelter. Advance registration required. Specialized Recreation Flashlight Egg Hunt 

March 30 | 8:15 p.m. | Apex Community Park (2200 Laura Duncan Road)  

This is a special event for individuals with disabilities. Grab your flashlight and search for candy-filled eggs. The hunt will start precisely at 8:15 p.m., so please arrive at 8 pm. Dress for the weather and bring a flashlight. Support staff are welcome. Advance registration required.

Apex Bunny Trail Egg Hunt 

April 1 | 9-11:15 a.m. (start times vary) | Apex Community Park (2200 Laura Duncan Road)  

 

Grab your family and get ready to hit the trail for a free egg hunt! Registration is required. There are four time slots to choose from and space for 20 different families in each section. Only one adult in the family needs to register. When you arrive at the park, follow the signs to park and check-in. Kids of all ages are welcome, but please leave the pets at home.
