Attention, parents! The 18th Annual Kids Appreciation Day is on Saturday, May 7, so mark your calendars for a free day of fun hosted by the Kiwanis Club, in partnership with the Town of Holly Springs. The event, open to the public, will be located at Sugg Farm Park from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. All kids in attendance will receive tickets for free food, a drink, a snoball and a raffle. Participants will enjoy inflatables and an array of vendors with kid-friendly activities and giveaways at their booths.
“At the event, we have a program that includes a DJ, kids’ performances (e.g., dance, martial arts, etc.), and recognition of terrific kids and teachers nominated by local middle and elementary schools,” says Joe LoFaro, a board member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Holly Springs. “Past events have had 2,500-plus attendees, including over 1,000 children.”
All sponsorships from Kids Appreciation Day help fund Kiwanis youth initiatives in Holly Springs for the upcoming year, including high school Key Clubs, middle school Builders Clubs, and middle and elementary school Terrific Kids service leadership programs. Funds are also used to provide scholarships and support youth needs in drama, art, dance, sports, school supplies, and other areas.
“The Kiwanis Club of Holly Springs serves the children and community of the Holly Springs area, and our club is part of a worldwide civic organization that has been dedicated to serving the children of the world for over 100 years,” says LoFaro.
Don’t miss it!
