Juneteenth commemorates the official emancipation of enslaved African American in the United States, specifically on June 19, 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce the end of slavery.
This year, the 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration will be held at the Holly Springs Cultural Center located at 300 W Ballentine St. in Holly Springs on Saturday, June 21, from 5-8:00 p.m. We will have food trucks, non-food vendors, bounce houses, music, and fun. See you there!
